It was a dark and stormy night

It was quite a night last night. We had tornadoes touchdown in the area. A small town not to far away from us was hit very hard. From what I've heard on the news and radio there is alot of damage and a few injuries but no deaths (I pray that is true). We saw pictures of it on the Today Show, so for our little area to make the national news it must of been big.

We hunkered down in the basement and watched the weather and listened to the scanner as it passed by. Husband and 2 of my boys were upstairs, listening to the wind when the boys started to holler and they all came bolting down the stairs. Their eyes were HUGE!! The sound of the wind had changed. It was nothing like they'd ever heard before. All both of them kept saying is that they could hear it swirling, that it sounded like a semi-truck passing by, that they've never heard wind sound like that before.

That is the closest we've ever been to a tornado. We are all safe and sound and there is no damage near us, Thank the Lord!
